God, After looking at all the people in my church doing this and that. They are ushering, singing, reading the scripture (one of which I liked so much to do) and praying. I can remember when, every blue moon or so, I would get up and read the scripture in church. I felt like that was my job to do, read the scripture. Now Lord, I am in a wheel-chair. I can’t go up front and read the scripture. As I continued to write to God, telling Him all about my troubles, the Spirit said “ You could read the scripture sitting in your wheel-chair". Then I said, "Lord I can’t get my mouth to speak right. Every time I say this word, another word comes out. Please help me Lord. As I was about to close this letter my mind went back to Exodus 4:10… “Then Moses said to the Lord, “Oh my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? It is not I, the LORD? Now go, I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” |
All I could say was, THANK YOU GOD. I could have gone on to read the next verse but I didn’t want my sisters or my brothers to read it for me. I wanted to read it on my own. I went to Psalm 23. You see, that is one of my favourite scriptures too. I read it and my words didn’t get twisted or anything. Then I went to Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8, Everything Has Its Time.
I read this scripture word for word. I thought, this is Your words God coming from my mouth. All I have to do is open my mouth and God will speak the words for me. Thank you God. Now I can read the scripture whenever someone ask me to read it. Sometimes I may be slow and I may even pronounce my words wrong but God said that He will teach me what to say and help me to speak the word.
GOD SAID IT AND I BELIEVE IT, because there is nothing too hard for God. My God is an awesome God. I love you Lord because you’ve been so good to me. Lord, I got to give you the highest praise. HALLELUJAH , thank you Lord.
